We can make a deal with China tomorrow, before their companies start leaving so as not to lose USA business, but the last time we were close they wanted to renegotiate the deal. No way! We are in a much better position now than any deal we could have made. Will be taking in…..

China will raise tariffs on $60 billion in U.S. goods in retaliation for Trump's decision to hike duties on Chinese goods.
The duties in large part target the U.S. agriculture industry, which has already suffered from Trump's trade war with China. https://t.co/f6kxj7IEly

Most Chinese agree that the US is more powerful than China and Washington holds initiative in the trade war. But we just don't want to cave in and we believe there is no way the US can crush China. We are willing to bear some pain to give the US a lesson.

I've decided to do a couple of blog posts on the US China trade war. The first one is some big picture stuff about why a trade deal wasn't reached independent of Trump. More to come this week https://t.co/h5eAJLfzFW

China has now confirmed that Canadians Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor have been formally arrested and face charges of spying. The 2 men were detained separately in December, after Canada acted on a U.S. request to detain a Huawei executive in Vancouver. https://t.co/pjOH8B9mYl

For reasons unknown to us, the over 1.3 billion people in the People's Republic of China have lost access to free knowledge. We regret the Chinese authorities' decision to further limit internet freedom and urge them to restore access to Wikipedia. https://t.co/mRG08Yx9uL
